Ok I am not sure if the “I am back …” title is for the fact I am back in St. T or that I have returned to the world of blogging.
It is amazing all the little things one most do after being away for 3.5 weeks. I had a stack of mail to go through which none of it was actually interesting just bills, blah. And things like having to go buy groceries and things like that.
Well in my on going attempt to stay in my Olympic mode I began the process of sorting through pictures. I may have taken 3000 while I was away and am now trying to get them down to fit in the sweet photo album Ashleigh my room mate painted for me for Christmas. I have 150 or so to go print and see how they look.
I also broke down and bought the “I Believe” cd because it will help with my withdrawal problem. I spent $8 for 3 songs all the same song just in French, English and instrumental. What can I say I miss the catchy song.
I probably should actually take my luggage out of the van and unpack it. That means though the trip is over. The memories will be there forever but the trip will be over. I was talking with Adam this morning and realize there is so many memories that I still have to process. Just telling him stories in stuff I know there are so many things I went through that I don’t even realize yet. Like honestly I met Gordie Howe. I saw Canada’s first gold be given out in person. I heard BNL, Greggory Charles, Burton Cummings, and George Canyon all with in at least 20 feet of me. I was 30 feet away from the flame from Greece. I walked in a rain forest. I saw a bobsled go by at 150km five feet away. I took photos at the Olympics that made it in the news paper and once was front page material. I run a publishing company which will be releasing it’s first book in a week or 2. I was in Robson Square when we won Gold in hockey. I had 457 different people from 15 countries follow chasingdreams.ca over the time of the games.
I followed a dream to it’s fullest and happy I did.
